Di Burns - Textile Artist, Feltmaker, Handbag Designer
Di Burns comes from an artistic background. For many years she has designed and customised her own clothing and accessories creating her own unique style.
Textiles have always been a part of her life growing up, playing with tins of vintage buttons as a child and being taught how to knit and sew from a young age. After having three children and being a stay at home mum, she studied three City and Guilds in Textile Decoration Skills, Studies and design.
Whilst studying a particular process in Feltmaking she designed her own handbag using vintage silk and embellished it with buttons. She had found her life's vocation!
Di loves to design and make the handbags using colours and themes that inspire her, by word of mouth alone the demand for them steadily increased. This led to her designing handbags for clients as far away as Australia, Germany, France and America.
